Fractional Performance Marketing Leadership
A Head of Performance Marketing for two or three days a week. Joseph runs the function, the agencies and the reporting, and hands over a working operating model when you are ready to hire.
What you get
Who this is for
- Scale-ups spending £1m or more a year on acquisition without a senior marketer who owns it.
- Businesses between Heads of Performance, where a gap of six months would cost more than cover.
- Founders and CMOs who need someone to run the agencies and the numbers so they can run the business.
- Private equity portfolio companies that need the function professionalised before a sale or a raise.
What Joseph brings
Joseph has held this job at full scale twice. In a London-listed betting and gaming group he directed more than £50m of annual media investment across the group’s brands as Group Performance Head. In a global higher education group he rebuilt a 50+ person international performance team as Global VP, introducing governance, quality assurance, modern attribution and executive reporting.
The fractional version is the same job with fewer days. Joseph takes the target, runs the team and the agencies, fixes the measurement, and builds the operating model that lets the business hire a permanent head into a function that works.
What a typical engagement looks like
Month one. Audit the function. Accounts, agencies, tracking, reporting, people. A short written view of what is working and what is not.
Months two and three. Fix the measurement first. Then the biggest account problems. Then the planning and reporting cycle. Weekly trading meeting, monthly board pack.
Month four onwards. Run it. Hire into it if needed. Joseph will write the job spec and sit on the interviews.
Why fractional and not an agency
An agency runs channels. It does not own the target, manage the other agencies, or tell the board what the number means. That job sits with the client. If nobody senior is doing it, the agencies set their own homework.
