SEO and AI/LLM Search Optimisation
More buying decisions start with a question to ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Mode. Joseph measures whether your brand appears in those answers and in organic search, and fixes the reasons it does not.
What you get
Why this matters now
Google AI Overviews now sit above the paid ads on a large share of commercial searches. ChatGPT and Gemini answer product questions directly, with a shortlist of brands and links. If your brand is not in the shortlist, the click never happens, and no amount of paid search bidding gets it back.
Joseph led the AI Search programme for a global higher education group with more than thirty institutions, working out how prospective students used AI assistants to research courses and how to appear in those answers. He has run SEO alongside paid search since 2010.
What Joseph does
- Baseline. Take the fifty to two hundred questions your buyers actually ask. Run them through the main assistants. Record who gets cited and from which sources.
- Diagnose. Look at the pages the models are citing. They tend to be clear, structured, factual and corroborated elsewhere. Compare yours.
- Fix. Rewrite and restructure the pages that matter. Add the schema the models read. Get the brand mentioned on the third-party sources the models trust.
- Track. Re-run the questions monthly and report the share of answers that cite you, alongside organic rankings.
How this fits with paid search
AI search is not a replacement for paid search. It sits above it. The brands that do well in both are the ones that treat product data, pricing and page content as one problem. Joseph’s paid search work and AI search work use the same data, so the two do not fight each other.
